I've been wanting to read this book for years and finally got to it. Although it was written in the mid-90s, it is still highly relevant for families today. The book discusses the stresses of growing up female in our present culture. Many case studies are described of troubled as well as fairly average teens. The introduction and the chapter on divorce are especially good. This is a must-read for parents of teenage or preteen girls.
