Nowhere is a spellbinding blend of Mare of Easttown and The Outsider—a haunting family saga wrapped in spine-tingling horror. Set in a small, tightknit Virginia town with a dark secret, the story follows Police Chief Rachel Kennan as she struggles to hold her family together after a tragic loss while investigating a string of disappearances that have rocked her religious community. As an ominous force in the forest begins to call to the children of the town, Rachel and her family must face the dangers within their community—and within themselves—before it’s too late. With chilling Appalachian folklore, emotionally charged family drama, and atmospheric horror, Nowhere is a gripping debut that asks: what do we bury in our hearts, and what happens when it comes to the surface?
