We’re gearing up for our second annual Shepherdstown Pride Weekend, a celebration of LGBTQIA+ voices, visibility, and creative resistance in the heart of Appalachia. Whether you’re here to march, read, rest, or raise your voice, you belong here.

What You  Might  Expect (Based on Last Year

While our 2026 schedule is still in the works, past Pride programming has included:

• Read With Pride Queer Book Fair with LGBTQIA+ authors and indie publishers
• Banned Book Club x Pride featuring Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe
• A Royal-Tea Party meet & greet with Pride royalty
• Screenings like Kinky Boots at the Opera House
• Free yoga, family-friendly storytime, drag shows, and more
• The Pride Celebration Info Center, a welcoming hub for weekend resources and conversation

We’re planning even more for 2026—including author panels, writing workshops, and bookish programming created by queer creators for queer communities.
