A cozy, creative alternative to Black Friday Plaid Friday was created in Oakland, California as a more joyful, human-scale way to kick off the holiday season. At Four Seasons Books, we celebrate the artists whose work fills our shelves and enriches our lives — authors, illustrators, small-press creators, and the artisans who make reading spaces warm and personal. Celebrate Indies First with your local, woman-owned bookstore Small Business Saturday is all about supporting the places that strengthen our communities — the independent shops that keep Main Streets vibrant, creative, and economically resilient.
