~ You are Cordially Invited ~
Book clubs are a strange delight. They can be enthralling and hilarious, or frustrating and long. We hope that none of ours are the latter, and that you will feel comfortable and welcome in joining any of our groups as they delve from one book to the next.
To our mind, there are four reasons to join a book club.
1. They're fun.
2. They expose you to different perspectives and reactions.
3. They widen your literary horizons.
4. They remind you to never stop reading.
So, if you have a chance, consider yourself entirely welcome to join us.
Named for the 18th century women's literary group, the club's goal is to rediscover forgotten female writers, or discover for the first time new female writers who are currently under-read.
Participants are invited to bring a brown bag lunch and swing by for some scintillating conversation.
Next Meeting: Noon, Jan. 13th
For more than two decades Four Seasons Book Club has hosted discussion after discussion, adding a bright light to look forward to every month. What better way to brighten a cold winter's night, or to calm the heat of a hot summer day, than to sit among books, with readers, and chat.
Selecting books by raffle, laughing whenever possible, and never shy, Four Seasons Book Club invites you to join in the fun.
Next Meeting: 6:30pm, Jan. 7th
Looking to travel more in 2019? Read more books, by more diverse authors? Achieve both your goals at once and join us at Four Seasons Books for the Read Globally Book Club.
Each month we’ll read a book from a different country, written by an indigenous author. During meetings we will gather and discuss the book and sample food and drink from that country. Come join us to read around the world!
Next Meeting: 6pm, Jan. 30th
