Let's Talk With Pictures | Skadi Cooke
Join Four Seasons Books as we welcome Author Skadi Cooke. Skadi Cooke lives in West Virginia with their partner, kid, two ridiculous dogs, and way too many pandemic house plants.
Skadi will give a reading of their book Let's Talk With Pictures, followed by a mini ASL lesson, and giveaway of AAC Swag. This picture book serves as a toddler-friendly introduction to assistive communication devices, specifically physical cards, and demonstrates how they can be used in a variety of settings. It provides an overview of some of the more common symbols your child may use, and is meant to be used as a supplement to any therapies they are receiving.

Previously, they worked as a college developmental writing instructor and ESL instructor because, they feel, even though the English language is *wild,* everyone deserves to be understood. They have an MFA in Creative Writing. They have previously written a memoir, and they are the founder of Vulture and Crone publishing. This is their first children’s book.
